ATTENTION: During the procedure, check the dashboard to ensure that the coolant is always above 80° C / 176° F.

ATTENTION: The gear learning procedure must be carried out with the engine off and the instrument panel on.

ATTENTION: If during the gear learning procedure the instrument panel is switched off, all of the stored data will be deleted and the procedure must be carried out again the following time the panel is switched on.

  1. Secure the bike and lift the rear wheel using a stand.
  2. Make sure the clutch switch works properly.
  3. Set the gear to neutral and turn on the engine until the coolant temperature reaches above 80° C / 176° F.
  4. Turn off the engine, leaving the instrument panel on and the gear in the neutral position.
  5. Act on the clutch lever until its end stop and wait for the "C" letter to flash in the dashboard in the engaged gear display.
  6. Release the clutch lever. Make small movements on the rear wheel, turning it forwards and backward, to engage the first gear. Do not apply excessive force to the wheel.
  7. Act on the clutch lever until its end stop and wait for the "C" letter to flash in the dashboard in the engaged gear display. The gear has been learned.
  8. Release the clutch lever. Make some small movements of the rear wheel, forwards and backwards to engage the second gear. Do not apply excessive force to the wheel.
  9. Repeat the procedure until reaching the sixth gear.
  10. Make small movements of the rear wheel, forwards and backwards, to downshift until reaching first gear and then shift to neutral. Do not apply excessive force to the wheel.
  11. With the gear in neutral, act on the clutch lever until its end stop and wait for the gear display to read "N" neutral position in the dash display.
  12. Release the clutch lever. Make some small movements of the rear wheel, forwards and backwards, to engage first gear. Do not apply excessive force to the wheel.
  13. Act on the clutch lever until its end stop and wait for the number "1" to appear in the dashboard  of the gear indicator, flashing approximately for one second.
  14. Release the clutch lever. Make some small movements of the rear wheel, forwards and backwards, to engage the second gear. Do not apply excessive force to the wheel.
  15. Act on the clutch lever until its end stop and wait for the number "2" to appear in the dashboard of the gear indicator flashing for approximately one second.
  16. Repeat the procedure until reaching the sixth gear.
  17. If the gears are displayed correctly then the procedure has been completed successfully.

NOTE: At the end of the procedure, carry out a further check of the correct gear learning. Engage one gear at a time and make sure the engaged gear is actually displaying in the dashboard.
