Procedures for entering the injector code correctly
Introduction
In the Isuzu Common Rail engine types, replacing an injector requires entering an injector code into the electronic injection management control unit correctly.
The Self-diagnosis resources allow this adjustment, but after several claims received by our assistance service regarding the difficulty of entering the code, this bulletin contains the procedure for entering the injector code correctly.
Description
The injector code is alphanumeric (numbers and letters) and can be found in two places:
• On the injector
• On the plate on the engine
INFORMATION: the code on the injector must be read from left to right. In the example In the figure above, the code that must be entered is: 6 7 0 D E 4 F B E C F E FAD 3 0 3 F 3 E 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 5 C.
On top of the valve cover there is a plate with the injector codes.
NOTE: the plate is on top of the valve cover under the protective covering.
Self-diagnosis technical note
The code indicated on the injectors and the one on the engine plate are slightly different (the code on the injector has extra 0s)
The Self-diagnosis program is able to manage both the codes
