The vehicles of the makes SEA-DOO (BRP), SKI-DOO (BRP) and LYNX (BRP) have the peculiarity that, once a period

of time above 30 seconds has elapsed with the key on ON and the engine stopped, the control units switch to the OFF

mode autonomously, thus cutting off the communication with the diagnostic tool and no longer powering it.

This loss of communication may jeopardize the vehicle's proper operation if an ACTIVATION or ADJUSTMENT is in progress.

In order to guarantee a steady communication, the 3151 /APSGA cable (figure 1) was introduced, which must be connected the following way:

• Connect connector 1 on the 3151/AP56A cable to the vehicle's diagnostic socket

• With the engine off connect the power clamps (supplied with the diagnostic tool) to connector 2 on the 3151/AP56A cable     and then to the vehicle's battery

• Connect the 3151/AP43 (or 3151/AP19) diagnostic cable to connector 3 on the 3151/AP56A cable

• During use, we recommend turning off/disconnecting any device that may create a large absorption of current                         (ex. headlight assembly).

The diagnostic function can be started after following the instructions indicated above.

NOTE: the use of the 3151 /AP56A cable is needed in order to guarantee the continuity of the communication during

the diagnostic procedures, which can also be carried out by using only the cables 3151 / AP 19 or 3151 / AP43 (based on

the function). The use of this cable is limited to the makes listed above and is compatible with the 3151 /AP19 or 3151 /AP43 diagnostic cables only.

ATTENTION: it is severely prohibited to start the engine with the cable 3151/AP56A connected. Starting the

vehicle, even accidentally, may damage its electrical system and the cable 3151 /AP56A. If a diagnosis with the

engine on is needed, we recommend disconnecting the cable 3151 /AP56A, starting the engine in order to

power the diagnostic socket autonomously and connecting the tool ONLY through the cable 3151/AP43 (or

3151/AP19).
