Tohatsu TLDI series engines allow you to read errors in two ways. For the first, used during normal engine operation, the control unit uses the buzzer and the three warning lights on the tachometer to indicate the type of error present. The second, on the other hand, is activated with a series of commands issued with the ignition key, and uses the tachometer position and the three warning lights to indicate the error which has occurred. It is also possible to read off the number of hours of engine operation in the latter mode.
For the first procedure and the list of errors detected, refer to the "LIST OF ALARMS" sheet associated with each TLDI engine.
For the procedure for reading off and identifying the hours of operation of the engine, refer to the "ENGINE HOURS OF OPERATION TABLE" sheet associated with each TLDI engine.
For the procedure for reading, identifying and deleting the errors in the error log via the control unit self diagnosis system, launch the system associated with each TLDI engine.
